All well and good (and true) but that shouldn’t keep it from being criticized. The RT score on this season is just bizarre and frankly inexplicable. There’s so much to tear apart, regardless of how it all shook out behind the scenes, but nah, A-.

You’re correct. He’s outgrown the show, and SNL needs him more than he needs SNL. I agree with your sincere statement.

You and he were... buddies... weren’t you?

^^yes^^

I’ve noticed this season she’s leaned into the sexy. In past seasons she played more of the butch type but this year she’s been wearing makeup and showing cleavage and stuff. I wonder if she’s just more comfortable now that she’s been on TV for a while or if that’s a production decision. I’m assuming it’s her own

You’re acting like adapting a book is easy

Do most people not like season 3?  I thought it was as good as season 1.  (Season 2 we need not mention)

I don’t remember Season 2 with much clarity relative to Season 3, tbh, so it may just be down to what you personally liked.

The Long Goodbye is a terrific movie, one of Robert Altman’s best

Yeah it’s not like they’re going to be taken out back and shot if they’re not chosen.  I expect most have fuller lives than the young contestants on the regular version.

As one of the people who worked on Golden Bachelor, this is the case. The ladies are tough and get through just fine.

That’s up there but the greatest trick was surplus labor theft, tbh

Lol - point taken. I love how one of the “rules” for writers trying to get published is “Don’t make the main character a writer.” Larsson was like, “Enh, screw it.”

In fairness that’s a heavy lift for anyone.

It’s also an example of how you can make a successful movie with a flamboyantly gay couple at the center - quality story, writing and acting. Who knew? And that was selling to audiences more than 25 years ago.  Meanwhile this year you get the director of Bros complaining no one went to see it because they’re all

Jezebel gonna Jezebel... I’m surprised Barsanti didn’t sneak in some snark for this article.

Yes, Midnight Mass is the best, and has some of the best acting and production design too.
