The dumbest people get into college, I know this from personal experience. I also think it's realistic that her going to college is what they all want, since in reality it's in no way a fail-safe pathway to success.

I also thought that this episode's title was in reference to Jay's creepy dog butler going missing. I was somewhat disappointed to see it was not.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see that Alex has indeed gone off to college, and that the show moves on without her. That being said, I would watch a show that was just the Dunphy family alone.
