When I saw the trailer for Isle of Dogs, I honestly thought it was a parody of Wes Anderson movies. This is Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders level stuff.

Women trust men: Listen, you should never have been alone with him/accepted that drink/invited him over/etc. You should have known better than to put yourself in that situation. The assault was your fault.
Umm folks, “due process” and “Presumption of innocence” are legal concepts that apply to proceedings in American (USAian) courts. They do not apply in the ”court of public opinion” and they do not always apply in legal systems outside of the USA. In some countries “presumption of innocence” does not exist at all.
Man, if women can’t feel safe in a James Franco Sex Scene class, where can they feel safe?
But the band that takes that name will be featured here at year’s end.
“Franco’s Sex Scenes class”
The original Arabian Night lyrics: Where they darken your skin/ If they don’t like your face/ It’s barbaric, but hey, it’s home
Instead of working on a sequel, Netflix should be working on a spinoff TV series like they did with Alien Nation.
You joke.
I agree. Head shapes are wrong. Although I’ll tkae Glover in anything. You know he is going to go full Billy Dee hammy on this one. I’m holding out hope that they cast Danny Pudi as Lobot.
“He’s a frequent redditer”
Meshach Taylor?
You don’t get to say “zug zug,” that’s our word.
Hooray! The Keyboard Geniuses ‘Year In Review’ is always one of my favorite features. Thanks for keeping it going, even with all of the changes to the AV Club in 2017. And thanks, of course, for all of the extraordinary work y’all do writing these articles for us to consume :)
I like the focus on failure and disappointment and putting Luke’s life in the context of those who went before him - Yes he failed in his hopes of making the universe better by building a new and lasting Jedi order, but the good parts of the Jedi hopefully will go on carried by Rey.
Stop it, you’re starting to give me a Searection.
I didn’t like the movie very much but what they did with Rey’s backstory was fine with me and I thought it works pretty well. The movie has a ton of other plot and pacing problems
I loved this reveal. Of all the gripes people have about The Last Jedi, this is the one I most disagree with. Honestly, how could anything else have been satisfying?
Man from UNCLE is the film that convinced me that if they ever do a live-action Archer film, it should star Henry Cavill.
Yeah, the parallels to Allen’s real life are uncomfortable but let’s not lose sight of what is truly disturbing and wrong here: Jim Belushi is still getting work.
