Your tone seems very pointed right now.

Also, it’s a great ending. Pretty much impossible to guess.

Gay liberal here (and long-time AV Club commenter so no fucking off back to Breitbart for me!).

So...um...there’s this really great movie from the UK called God’s Own Country that’s expanding across the US in November. I’m not sure why this isn’t mentioned, but I’ve noticed what almost seems like avoidance of the film by many film websites (including The AV Club) and critics I follow on Twitter.

the previously established hierarchy that goes Radiohead–>Travis–>Muse–> Coldplay–>Starsailor.

Hüsker Dü is the poor man’s Nirvana.

The MPAA warns parents about things they by and large wouldn’t want their children to be exposed to. So, there are detailed warnings about the degree of violence, sex, nudity, language, drugs, and rape, and also smoking and teen drinking (but not adult drinking while anyone smoking is apparently a possible influence).

I wish the MPAA would warn viewers about animal deaths and violence against animals with the vehemence they warn viewers about smoking.

Thank you, Esther! I remember seeing Sleepless In Seattle in theaters. When the credits rolled, I said, "That's it?!" There's no evidence this relationship will make it through the elevator ride to the ground floor.

If I had to pick just one, it would be The Empire Strikes Back by John Williams, but to name some that haven't already been mentioned:
