Homeland is just doing a sly nod to Veep by never having the President appear.

This is quite similar to the reason why I liked season 5 of Mad Men so much: Betty Draper was mostly absent. I never liked her, so the actress' pregnancy and subsequent minimal appearances throughout season 5 were a godsend for me.

But wait! What's that?! It's…it's…twins! And the second one is a…lizard baby?!

Would've been fun if Holt's hubby had been played by Jonathan Banks. He and Andre Braugher could have deadpanned the fuck out of everything. Plus there's that retired cop angle that Banks had as Mike on Breaking Bad that could have played out here.

Just when do we get Angela Bassett in a pair of flowy pants from Angela Bassett's new line of flowy pants: Bassett by Angela for Angela Bassett?

I was being facetious about her singing. I think it's hilariously awful, but I love it. Kinda like Showgirls and Valley Of The Dolls.

What do you mean Lauren Bacall can't sing?!

I'm thinking it's going to be Mame.

"…particularly “I’m Still Here,” performed by Jarvis Cocker and directed by Todd Haynes…"

Audra McDonald was easily the best thing about this, with Laura Benanti coming in second. Unfortunately, someone decided to have Christian Borle made up to look like Rooster from Annie, and I couldn't get past it once someone mentioned it on Twitter.

Oh my Christ. Thanks for that tip. I wouldn't have thought to type "Other." I mean, that totally makes sense when I consider the website redesign. I guess it just didn't occur to me because I was so afraid of change.

I stumbled onto "The Mystery Science Theater Hour" after Siskel & Ebert, which, in the market where I lived, aired late Saturday night/early Sunday morning. I think I caught the second half of Viking Women And The Sea Serpent first. It was so weird and unlike anything I'd ever seen. It was kind of disorienting with

Didn't you see the poster? You weren't invited.

As long as "Dominique" is the theme song, we're good.

And…

Walruman?

I'm hoping that Marie Laveau will create a Walrutaur ("Half-walrus! Half-man! All terror!"), send the Walrutaur on a witch-killing mission, and the Walrutaur will gore the newest member of the Witches Council: Very Special Guest Star Stevie Nicks! TUSK!

The great thing is Stevie has some wonderful ideas based on some of her songs so we were like, “Oh we’re going to use that.”

My favorites in chronological order:

The Beast Of Yucca Flats along with its two shorts Money Talks! and Progress Island U.S.A. are probably the funniest IMO. TBOYF is thankfully short, even though it still feels like an eternity.
