That was a one-off. This, on the other hand, was somehow used as the design language for an entire brand for multiple generations, and its impact is still felt....

The SRT has low sales because of the badge. If you took the RR Sport and the GC and did nothing but swap their badges, the GC would vastly outsell the RR. Most people spending that much money want to say they drive a Range Rover/Jaguar/BMW/Porsche/etc., not a Jeep.

With 0 of them going to the hordes or Jalopnik commenters who feel that eleven out of every ten Americans wants a small pickup.

I REALLY hope this gets nixed but I’m not fully confident that the group that somehow replaced the fully funded Scarborough LRT with an unnecessary subway or who doesn’t think the DRL isn’t a priority or who ignored most urban planners and went with a the hybrid option for the Gardiner will yield to common sense. Agreed. Here (Canada) there’s a Nissan Micra and I’d be shocked if it was outselling the much nicer looking AND cheaper Nissan.

Seriously. The customers are pushed to the back of the line AND the high demand probably means even more markups are on their way. Its insane.

Yeah but that’s because you don’t have lobbyists protecting you from not having to pay markups.

Yeah, the manufacturer screwed up the most by a) not treating the customer properly and forcing them to wait more, and b) not protecting them from those insane markups.

In downtown Toronto there’s a Starbucks just before the intersection, another at opposite corner of the intersection, and a third at the end of the parking garage for the building with the second starbucks.

Because he could parlay it into something official with the campaign now that he has his name out there and has shown that’s he a true supporter.

This. Replacing Acura badges with Honda badges, etc. Some RSX owners used to replace the “RSX” door sills (IE something not visible to anyone but the person opening the door for a fraction of a second) with “INTEGRA” door sills at a cost of ~$200...

It would look so awesome if the inner part of the LEDs lined up with the inner corner of the headlight...it’d look like the LED was torn from the headlight, but as it is its not lined up which just triggers my OCD.

Exactly, I realize that many cars have “finishers” but at least have it connect to the exhaust...

Fake exhaust tips like on the IS F:

Yeah, too many people here are romanticizing the past and bemoaning the changes that a lot of new cars have - I’d much rather have a heavier, more expensive to repair vehicle compared to 50 years ago because of the safety.

I agree that it shouldn’t have been Hybrid (or, Hybrid should have been an option) and they should’ve just put in a K20, I just don’t think the weight was ever a factor in sales - it was the price and lack of power combined with how much of a niche it would’ve been to begin with. If it was exactly the same vehicle but

I don’t know about the finances but the Preds seem to have a strong fanbase.

The biggest problem with Overhaulin was that they’d spend 59 minutes on the storyline/building the car/saying how they’re going to miss their deadline, and the only time you see the finished car is right before the credits.

Yeah, you might want to check those videos out....there’s a difference between “this isn’t an off-roader” and “this says its AWD but it doesn’t seem to ever engage”.

I drove a CR-V through the mountains (well, its not THAT mountainous here, but it was in slippery wet fall conditions with the leaves everywhere) and not once did the AWD light come on. Seems inline with the videos.
