Jason Hayward would like a word with you about there being no “easy outs” in this lineup.

As a Cubs fans that’s had 1908, 1984, 2003, 2005, and 2008 continuously kicked in my face by White Sox/Cardinal fans, I could not care less if people don’t like the way Cubs fans celebrate if the team ever wins. Being a centuries long joke gives you certain liberties, IMO.

if you’re going to make up a story to shit on Cub fans, at least try and make it believable.

who are all of these maniacs updating a brand new iOS right away? Apple will be lucky if I download it before the third patch comes out.

That GIF will be haunting my dreams tonight.... and apparently those creepy night demons will be watching my night tortures from right outside my window.

I don’t think too many are flying into Denver in Mid-June to see the rockies play. I would personally put the over/under at 2.5 people. General tourists? maybe. Most likely that crowd was 90% young people on summer break and retirees.

not to mention that most of these hockey players move away from home around 16 to play in junior leagues. They learn to party early. The guys I've known that have done that are some of the craziest partiers I have ever seen. Hockey players just know how to get after it.

All I heard about prior to this tournament was how the USMNT had no shot because OMG GROUP OF DEATH, but then they win their group and suddenly its not that tough of a group anymore. Same thing happened at the World Cup. It's strange.

Announce a team is relocating.

except for the giant ads on the chest. I'll pass on being a walking Citi Bank billboard.

I know that this is just the IOC trying to salvage a small glimmer of what this Olympics in Rio is supposed to be, but this is both a nice gesture and something that warms my cold, dead heart.

This is great and hilariously true. I just sent that to my brother. And the Madden comparison is also more true than I care to admit, but let’s not forget, Madden used to be very good before he became a caricature of himself. Anyway, I like Eddie and was surprised to find some people don’t, because I’m stupid like

Eddie Olczyk (pronounced Ole-Check)

I take great pleasure in all of the times Eddie completely ignores Pierre. It’s a running joke whenever Eddie is on Chicago sports radio (he’s the Hawks color man, hence my refusal to acknowledge any of his perceived flaws) that Pierre annoys Eddie as much as anyone.

Get out. Edzo is fantastic. He gives solid, detailed analysis is terms any sports fan can understand. I AM PERSONALLY OFFENDED.

Is there any surprise it was a reporter from ESPN asking such a dumb question? At least she didn't ask if he was elite....

do they stop and slow motion replay every entry into the zone to make sure no one is a fraction of an inch offsides? no? then the rule is applied arbitrarily.

Hawks fan here, and I absolutely HATED the goal that was called off. It feels cheap and undeserved. That fraction of an inch that can’t be seen in real time should not be a determining factor in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (of anytime for that matter)

mis-typed. should have said “so far behind the play” where the play is the actual goal being scored. And it is arbitrary in a large majority of these reversals because no one can even tell a players skate is a fraction of an inch off the ice without looking at in slow motion replay. While, technically, you are correct
