I have to say that I really miss Jeremy Irons’ voice - he made Scar - but I’m otherwise impressed.

Any objection to her working with R. Kelly and Terry Richarson fell into deaf ears with her, so I don’t even think this is a coming late to the party scenario, it is damage control 

Wait. The kiddie porn came out long before she worked that track. And she kept it out there long enough to cash in. She was also called out at the time. Ignorance is no excuse here. There is defiant and there is ambitious. I’m chalking it up to the latter, a pure career move.

I’m calling bullshit...the Surviving R. Kelly people reached out to her as one of his past collaborators and she opted to not participate. She also could have released a statement before it aired. This is damage control pure and simple.

And what about Terry Richardson with whom she regularly works? Seems she doesn’t care until the full public tide turns to real ire.

At what point do we stop using our own traumas as an excuse to ignore the traumas of others? To know what we already knew about this man when she worked with him, to choose *that* song, and then, years later, to *continue* to be silent about it for a long time when you’re in a better place and have more perspective...…

Exactly, the celebrity response is too Johnny come lately. They ~wanted to work with him and after the fact they canceled him. Beyond transparent. There is a video of him urinating on a child--no apology is good enough.

I’m inclined to be sympathetic because of her state of mental health at the time, but “these allegations I am hearing” as though this is the first time it’s come out?

The video was also directed by Terry Richardson and is EXTREMELY disturbing. This apology is too little too late.
