The problem is that it’s a beloved series that hasn’t had a proper new entry in over a decade. Obviously fans are going to be upset when it does finally come back in the form of something that does not resemble what they enjoy about the series. Even if it is a good game.

FarCry 4 is still sitting unplayed on my hard drive. Mostly due to all my time being taken up by Batman, Witcher, and Fallout. To be clear, I don’t mean the games, those are the names of my three kids.

I don’t really understand the very lukewarm reception this game has gotten - I bought on Day 1 and I’ve loved it. It’s not a revolutionary game by any means, but it takes the core of what makes a Far Cry game and either refines the shit out of it, fixing almost every flaw from the previous games to make a really slick…
