You’re right it’s not teachers, it’s admin or people who are also somehow involved in your kid’s school. I was on a jury a few years ago and found the process to be super interesting. It felt good to be a part of a civic process like that, and God forbid I ever need a jury of my own, I’d want people who wanted to be there.
I totally have a friend - a real friend not a “friend” (me) - who lives with her ex and their kid because of money etc etc. They are not together. She does have a new boyfriend, though, and I can’t imagine why he doesn’t think her situation is sketchy. But it’s not.
