Hey, asshat, we’re Americans as well. It’s attitudes like yours that bespoil what would otherwise be a great country.

As an immigrant who's thrilled to live here and now scared shitless of what might happen, well said.

Can I join y’all?

Remember a year ago when we were all resigned to thinking 2016 was gonna be Hillary against Jeb “Please Clap” Bush and Donald Trump was a total write-off?

I’m an immigrant as well and this has well and truly bummed me out. I was just like you and EVERYONE else who wrote him off. What I didn’t count on was that this country is far more virulently racist than I imagined. I underestimated that and that has made my very sad.

I want to ask my Italian friends how they handled Berlusconi. They have experience with this shit. This has also been humbling. I was idiotic enough to think not even the GOP would nominate this mass of dicks. I was idiotic enough to give republicans some credit because they are Americans and I’m an immigrant and

Please help us.

I agree, i think the OP has the complete wrong attitude about this. Shit is about to get real. Noone thought he would get this far so I wouldn’t sit there with smug confidence that she is just going to “roll over him”.

Jeb and Marco tried to ignore or riposte and look where it got them.

People really miss that folks supporting trump don’t care how other people react. They already agree with what trump says. He’s not going to say anything about Hillary that they haven’t or wouldn’t say.

Seconded. I said the same to my dad recently - that Trump is so vile that people who are moderate Republicans would vote for Clinton. He was so sure that she’s more hated than he is. But then, my moderate republican husband said HE would vote for Clinton and up until that point, he has been like “I don’t know...” But

Yea I’m with you. I don’t have any Republican friends who will vote for Hilary over Trump. They may not have voted for him in the primary, but they hate Hilary/the Clintons enough to vote for Trump in the general election. Or they saw Trump as a lesser evil than Cruz was, so they have no problem voting for him now.

isn’t putting party above all else part and parcel of being a Republican?

All it takes is one terrorist attack and who knows what the hell will happen?

At this point, yes, Trump will accumulate enough pledged delegates to win the nomination on the first ballot. The only way the GOP can stop him is if they change the delegate voting rules via the rules committee, which meets prior to the convention.

I wish I had your confidence. No one predicted Trump would win the nomination but he has. Lot’s of things can happen between now and November.

with you

Hey guys. It’s Canada, your sensible neighbor. We’re not sure what exactly you’re up to down there, but we’re starting to get concerned. This fun prank you’ve been pulling where you let a sentient garbage fire run for the leadership of your nation has gone just about far enough. We’d like you to stop now, you’re

[Silent screaming]

So.... it’s official? Trump will be the GOP candidate? Or will they still try for a contested convention?
