This is a truck without a purpose. Not clean enough to be a collectable, and way too expensive for a work truck. Not to mention anything made in the last 15 years will likely be significantly more capable. And get better fuel economy. And not have to service 6 very expensive tires.

Not manslaughter. First degree murder. They entered the car with a stun gun and tried to steal it - that’s robbery in DC, which elevates the charge to murder, which is what they were charged with. Here’s the applicable law:

I’m not going to join in everyone else’s pleas that you stop. I’m getting way to much enjoyment out of this.

1st gear:

I used to drive from Idaho to Dallas back and forth for school (lived in Idaho, school in Dallas). The drive itself was fine, but the suddenness of going from rural Idaho to a 5 million person metroplex was unsettling. The first few days back in the city I felt really weird and overwhelmed; pretty sure it was anxiety.

Yeah it’s pretty awful. Man, imagine if a company used connections in Washington to get laws enacted requiring that businesses and government entities all over the country purchase medicine made by that company. What if that company jacked up prices by 600%. Now imagine that company’s CEO is a US Senator. Quite the

I daily drive a Volt, but also have a 2007 2500hd Crew Cab long bed. Before the pandemic I was putting 15,000/year on the Volt and about 5,000/year on the 2500.

Will someone please ungrey me. I imagine this is what purgatory feels like.

Not have to deal with gas pumps (as much) is one of my favorite things about my Chevrolet Volt. When I drove my G35 as a daily driver, I was pumping gas once a week. Waiting in line and dealing with broken/slow pumps was a pain in the ass. Plus I was spending $150/month on gas.

I’m guessing you’re an engineer. I’ve noticed engineers are fairly defensive about how the term is used, and generally use the term to describe individuals who have earned some sort of engineering degree, along with appropriate certification. Certain jurisdictions may have legal requirements that must be met if one is

I feel your pain. I also changed the battery in my wife’s Escape, which is hilariously awful. The oil change is a pain in the ass too.

You can hear the narrator say “They’re hitting the cop car... They’re hitting the cop car!” So either you are wrong, or the fellow standing 5 feet away is wrong.

Except they weren’t just blocking the road, they were actively attacking the police. Why did you change the facts?

No, it’s the phrase “that ain’t going nowhere”, this is key. If you don’t say it, then the load has not been secured. Those folks probably didn’t say it rightly.

The top 10% of households are earning over $160,000/year. You don’t need to make that much to afford one of these. With 125 million us households, I’d be willing to wager that the top 25%, or 30 million households, could afford one (although not at 100,000, more in the 60-70k range)

Except Tesla doesn’t sell these features as licenses that expire...

Back in 2007 John Kerry and his Wife Teresa Heinz-Kerry released some sort of book on environmentalism, in which they presumably encouraged everyone else to sacrifice to save the environment (didn’t read it). At the time, they also had a vacation mansion in the small western town in which I lived; this was only one of

Leaving aside the fact that Lennon was a huge asshole, I suspect that the lyrics to “Imagine” are more of a directive to the plebes, never really intended to apply to him. I always hated that song.
