It'd be nice, but it is such a minimal loss in comparison to what we're getting. Personally I was already paying $60 a year for xbox live, so switching to a slightly cheaper service that doesn't add more value by pay-walling basic shit like Netflix but by giving great fucking deals and free games is a win-win for me.

The thing I've always respected about Stossel is that the dude does his homework. He arrives at different conclusions, but unlike most of the Fox News talking heads, he's rarely guilty of making up his own facts.

It seems like Sony wants to get where Microsoft does, but they want to let it happen in a more organic manner, not just shoehorning the entire world into digital distribution and online, but giving both options and letting things occur naturally.

It has nothing to do with choosing to play Online or Offline, it has to do with the fact that they are putting Requirements on how and when YOU can play with the console you spent YOUR money on.
