I agree. And I as well, suffer from depression, anxiety, and am a recovering alcoholic and benzo addict. Its her life. But thats the toughest part, is that so much of the issue with benzos is that doctors are telling people to just take them and never being questioned until recently.

The problem is that the recovery community has finally, in the last 5 years, started to turn the page on the benzo saga. Its horribly addictive and was never meant to be taken long term (more than a week or two at a time). Again, the vast majority of psych meds are one thing, but the mountain of evidence re: benzo…

Depression medications like SSRIs and SNRIs are one thing. Benzodiazapenes are something else entirely. If she does indeed take Xanax, I dont think anyone really considers her to be sober, nor should they. That junk is terrifyingly addictive and awful.
