Thank you for providing documentation that J.D. Powers surveys are completely and totally worthless.

Now playing

Look what you did Ballaban. Now this is stuck in my head

Here’s mine:

What I don’t understand is why we’d make any that utilize a timing belt instead of a chain

I only needed one tick box, FCA build quality.

“Crack pipe. It’s still in running condition.”

David probably hasn’t spent 12k on all his Jeeps combined. Including repairs, maintenance, upgrades, gas and insurance.

Yeah, can’t see myself paying $12k for a rusty 10-year-old Jeep...I mean, I’m not David Tracy, for Chrissake’s.

12k... I get it has the “diesel bro” tax tacked on... but 12k and 180,000 miles is a bit extreme.

Timing gears are not hard to do on a cam-in-block engine (IIRC, the 300cid straight-6 that used to come in F150's had such a setup) but they become rather Rube Goldberg-ish on an overhead cam engine.

Modern chains are pretty much maintenance free, changing your oil is the maintenance. The chain itself pretty much never fails, failures are usually guides or tensioners. Usually failures are from not changing your oil.

They say that in Moscow, a place I’ve yet to visit, no one obeys the rules of the road. They don’t for all intents and purposes exist for drivers there. That and the poor condition of the roads, insurance scams, it’s the wild east for driving.

Show me one of these pictures, please? And keep in mind, we’re not talking about the location of reverse here. You may want to look at that picture again.

I don’t have kids and don’t plan to. I’d like to get a NO RUGRATS tattoo.

No the real question is, how many people would actually want this.

Every so often I see one, well, usually I hear it before I see.

She was killed by a human. The safety driver who wasn’t paying attention to the fact the autonomous tech wasn’t doing its job.

Add window tints to that list as well...or driving a sporty import.
