Barbara Walters looks nice.

@Sassafrass McSass: You're making sense. I have been really happy with Jennifer Hudson and her weight loss journey because from the very beginning she said she'd try it but wasn't making any promises and didn't want to make her whole life and career be about losing weight. When the press, (I think it was People),

@Spinning: Who should stop whining?

@nerdypsychlady: I agree that feminism is for everyone but I think cooking is for the people who have some skill or interest in it. I don't happen to be one of them. If I'm married to someone who isn't a cook either, then we have to trade off.

@texylady: "It's just basic human curiosity and while sometimes some folks can be invasive, sometimes folks are just, you know, asking you about your life and motivations and wanting to understand those choices which are less conventional."

@Rbkboot: Except that then they ask who's at "fault" for your inability to conceive and start in on the benefits of adoption.

My first visit to Belgium was in 1993, when they'd just started up with the fruit flavored beers. As it happens, I love a good dark beer and when I got to Belgium I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. But you wouldn't believe the numbers of people who tried to keep me from my beloved Trappistes and make me drink the

@KLondike5: When I count the people with sweet tooths (sweet teeth?) among my friends I come up with more males than females.

@AreYouSatisfied: I shouldn't have used shorthand. Any misunderstanding or jumping upon is deserved. I think that some families are not well informed about eating disorders and just think "this is something weird about Whitney", or worse, "Our daughter is so skinny, she's like a model!" not realizing that this is

@woobie: I'd like to know where heart attacks are on the list. I always assumed most victims died of heart attacks before they got to starvation.

@Katie Did.: Yes! That was my first impression. The ad must be for families.

I think that's kind of a mean thing to say about Kathryn Lasky Night. She looks nice and appropriate, and also courageous for not coloring that lovely hair.

@zoethebitch: It's the Corman Technique. Probably shot one of them over the weekend for $5,500.00.

@Polyandthenomials: I see your point here but would like to add that we don't know much about the intelligence of the rest of the snake in this case.

@eclare09: You're picking at the awkward phrasing of the sentence or you genuinely don't understand?

@01SNKOWNR: I understand what you're saying and congratulate you on the changes you're making, it's not easy. But it took some kind of personal experience to set you on that path, not reading some mean little blog post about a celebrity's weight.

@ramaYs: Have you actually encountered anyone who was surprised?

@Miz X: And so far the facts are pretty sketchy. If you follow the link to NYT you get nearly nothing, and that story includes a link to somebody's sports blog. If you read that let me know because I couldn't make heads or tails of it and could use help but it makes the case seem more complex than the headline would

"It's hard being a working single mother, but on the flipside, it's awesome too. You only have to worry about yourself."
