You’re assuming Maarva knows everything the audience knows. There’s no tactical advantage to an old woman faking her own death. It’s not like she was on the ISB’s radar as a super badass who needed to be watched and there’s zero evidence that she was building up a mini rebel network with liked-minded Ferrixians.

You might be onto something, but I also think Andor (the series) has made a point to show that death can be anti-climatic.

It’s easier to die in this world than it is to live freely.

Still, I was hoping Maarva was going to have a small blaze of glory. Maybe she still will, but we’ll have to wait and see.

“Although it was concluded that Mr. Berk inappropriately touched Mr. Fraser, the evidence supports that it was intended to be taken as a joke and not as a sexual advance.”

It’s not too hard to get ‘condemned’ by the ADL for a joke that involves Jewish people or Jewish culture. Just ask Larry David, Seth Macfarlane, Rob Reiner, Joan Rivers, Michael Che, Trevor Noah, and Sacha Baron Cohen.

Area Man Complains He Can’t Get Away With Being Mean To The Jews

Good to see Dave is still capable of being insightful and funny about real current issues, and not just whining unfunnily about his own personal grievances at getting criticized, which the last stand up special I saw from him left in some serious doubt.

Using “they/them” to refer to a single person in English goes back centuries. And then, when we all realized always referring to a nonspecific/hypothetical person as “he,” and “he/she” barely took off because it’s awkward as hell, using “they” became super common and never confused anyone. Applying that well-accepted

Not really. People getting all uptight about what other people choose to call themselves will definitely always be weird, however.

Alternately, I’m going to have to take the scientifically coherent position that some women have XX chromosomes, some women have XY chromosomes, some women have XXY chromosomes, some women have large clitorises, some have small clitorises, some have no clitorises, some have surgically altered penises that look like

How is that weird? Things can be more than one thing. And better doesn’t magically mean good in every respect

Good to see Posey Parker has enough time out of her busy time palling with neo nazis to make posts on the AV Club. How very brave of her......................

Queer transphobes are the worst people

This is incomprehensible.

What annoys me about Dave is that he is confident he's right.  He just keeps doubling down and acting like he's being reasonable while hanging with Joe Rogan and people like him.  He isn't unaware of systemic problems in the US, he is okay with not always being funny and his writing skills are top notch.  Yet this

“If you’re using a soundbar,” Bondelevich said, “Get the best soundbar you can afford. And if you’re listening on your earbuds or headphones, get good headphones. If it’s a noisy environment, get over-the-ear headphones. They do really isolate sound much better and do not use noise canceling headphones because those

I used to think “money can’t buy you happiness” was nonsense to keep poor people in their station, but Elon Musk has so much money and spends all his time arguing with people online and desperately seeking validation that he’s cool. He’s truly miserable.

Yeah, clearly the geniuses who let Donald Trump host the show and then did a big sad piano number when he won the election a few months later are the folks who know best when it comes to casting choices.

I don’t even care about that. If they’re going to pick a side, do it with some dignity. As stated above, if Amber Heard is 100% in the right and a saintly human, this headline is still dismissive and weird.

It’s where people on Twitter call out the worst people who have bad views and then those bad people yell about “being cancelled” while still getting work and winning awards.
