I feel for the little girl, pulled apart in all this mess.

Thanks you. My morning has been real stupid so far and I needed this.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, there is enough toxic evangelical Christianity in the world to fill an ocean. But in my experience, this is often because of what people have done to the faith, not what the faith has done to them.

I suspect the comments on this piece won’t be pleasant, but I’m glad to have read this.

My kid’s response, “I dunno. Skinny jeans and kicks? No product? I got nuthing.”

Dear screenwriters and producers and Hollywood decision-makers. I am a white woman and I would watch the shit out of a movie that told the story of the women in this picture. They don’t have to suffer to sell tickets.

It’s also interesting that Colbert is feeding him questions that I’m sure he already knows the answers to. I think it’s brave of Colbert to play devil’s advocate for the audience in this way because it can be easily interpreted as him being ignorant/ignorantly racist. I think this issue must be very important to him

I’m not single.

I’m not single.

(She’s literally crying btw.)
