So what would you rather they do? It's a product that's available for purchase, it's completely fair to "review" it in its current state and update impressions as the game is updated.

I got this over the weekend and have to say - it’s not really that easy. Money is limited, battles aren’t hard but can leave your team weak, and there is a lot of random encounters.

Can we get a “This Game is in Early Access” review system, instead of reviewing the game like a completed product?

Played this for 30 hours or so, so far It feels like a good Pokemon but bad MMO.

Considering that we can even make a comparison between Pokemon Sword/Shield and a indie early access game probably says a lot more negatives about Pokemon than it does Temtem. It doesn’t need to beat Pokemon. It just needs to find an audience. Digimon, Yokai watch, even like World of Final Fantasy all exist and have been successful in their own rights even with Pokemon still being the biggest and best. I am personally very excited for TemTem and hope it has legs. 

Based on the reviews I’ve seen, it’s a Pokemon clone that does Pokemon better than Pokemon. Basically what Torchlight 2 was to Diablo 3 when it originally released.

I played through their stress tests and even though the servers were disconnecting a lot (as is the point of a stress test) it’s the most fun I’ve had with a pokemon-styled game in a long time.
