The original Ghostbusters at least had some spooky and scary moments alongside the comedy. This trailer for the new Ghostbusters makes me think the whole thing is going to be nothing but stereotypes and slap stick comedy.

Funny, I could’ve sworn that ever since I was young I was taught smoking was a filthy habit that destroys your health. That was all the encouragement I needed to know smoking was bad. I don’t really see the need to take it any further then that. Unless you like being cruel to people with an addictive habit.
Smoking has been a stigma for over 20 years, and yet people are still picking up the habit. I think it’s time to try different strategies that might actually work better and don’t result in alienating smoking addicts further.
And yet it still doesn’t work. If you shame a drug addict, the likelihood that they will stop is very low. As well as the likelihood to stop new addicts from appearing. And that is because their reasons for picking up an addictive habit go beyond how society views them. Maybe attacking the reasons why people feel the…
Yeah you could. There are numerous government programs that are funded by taxpayer money, and yet those program don’t apply to all taxpayers. You could effectively say that poor people are hurting the middle class because they get access food stamps and the middle class can’t. Or that old people are a drain on the…
That is like saying that shaming fat people will make them eat less and loose weight. It doesn’t work most of the time (because genetics) and just makes obese people feel worse about themselves. It serves no purpose other then to make one group of people feel morally superior over another.
You could use that same logic to prove just about anything is harmful to everyone.
So, people don’t want to play the game to get to the good stuff so the game creators create paid short cuts so that they don’t have to play the game? That just screams bad game design to me. Like they purposely made the grind as long as and as boring as possible to persuade people to pay more to skip it.
I’d have to agree that the beta was rather underwhelming. The most interesting thing in the whole beta was the dark zone. And even then, the dark zone could be rather dull. There are barely any memorable landmarks, it all looks like the same low income housing. And I would spend 5-15 minutes aimlessly wondering the…
If their plan is to stop piracy, then they are doing the exact opposite of what they should be doing. Not everyone can stream data fast enough to watch videos without waiting for a buffer bar to fill. It’s usually just better slowly download the full video ahead of time and watch it uninterrupted.
Of course that kid has to have the ingenuity to actively transform a Nerf gun into a slightly more harmful varient. Honestly, I think it might just be easier to get a gun if you want to hurt someone.
It does raise one small question: Who thought sending a gorilla suit up to space was a good use of payload?
The responsibility is still heavily on the driver. You can actually predict quite a lot just by watching everything along the road and assume the worst. If you see a bunch of people standing at the crosswalk, maybe slow down and be ready to break in case someone randomly steps out. If there is a blind spot where you…
The comparison there was to how much funding and resources they have available to create content. If indie developers are the lowest of the low in video games, then YouTube content creators are the lowest of the low in visual media.
Indies are to AAA games as YouTube content creators are to big budget movies. If you say that indie games should be treated the same as AAA games, sure that makes sense. But don’t pretend that the movie industry does the same for low budget creations on YouTube.
Citation is needed for the first paragraph. I have yet to see any proof that the same “gamers” you are talking about are actually the same people.
Hey, to each his own. Since art is subjective, it’s kinda unfair to say that suggestive camera angles or butt slaps are not art.
Nah, if I was really but hurt about it, I’d be calling you names and typing in caps. I just think the logic behind the joke is stupid, so the whole thing kinda falls flat.
No one is that desperate, or stupid. A simple Google search is all someone needs to find jerk off material. There is practically no need to go through the trouble of downloading and installing a mod for a one second clip specifically so that they can jerk off to it.
In order for your analogy in your last paragraph to be true, divers would have to be looking for pedestrians to hit with their car. No one robs a house on accident.
