Volta really wasn't very good. I remember it being hyped as a return to pop accessability before anyone heard it, and not only was it nothing of the sort, it wasn't particularly interesting as an artsy experimental record either.

Yeah Embryonic was a brilliant reinvention. I can understand people finding their love of overly wacky gimmicks irritating, but they do back those gimmicks up with substance for the most part.
