My 2009 GTI is somewhere in the 6 to 7 seconds range, and with my shifting is probably at least 7 seconds to 60. I still have fun with it, and during typical driving my 0-60 time is more like 13-14 seconds. I never understood what this time is supposed to mean for non supercars.
