White men can definitely face prejudice on an interpersonal level. i.e. someone could treat you personally like shit because you're a man and/or because you're white. And that's definitely not ok. It's never ok to be prejudiced or to act prejudicially based on such characteristics.

I guess in theory a white man could be oppressed, but the American system is (historically, generally) not rigged like that. "Oppressed" suggests a deliberate, sustained, systemic victimization. Maybe 500 years down the road Oppressed White Men will be a thing, but not right now.

If a white male were to be oppressed for being a white male, who would be the oppressor? You'd need a group with more power in society to be DOING the oppressing, and... Well there are no more groups more powerful than white men in modern society.

Does the report also look at outcomes for women who report rape? When I worked at a uni years ago it was quite common for the men to graduate and the women to drop out due to stress of having to be on campus with the accused, pressure from the accused friends, PTSD, etc.

Not only will they graduate with only a slap on the wrist, but because they will be Yale grads they'll have access to the few good jobs left and take with them the lesson they learned in college that it's fine to treat women this way if you are successful in other parts of your life.

Eeeeee! I love this! No one is humiliated! Everyone is just damn sexy and awesome.

He's openly gay?... I mean I know that he released an album titled I'm Gay, but I think he was trying to make a point/trying to show support for the LBGT community than an actual admission. I'm pretty sure he's straight.

I'm a big proponent of better sex education for our youth in schools, and I really, really (can't stress this enough) think that technology and sex need to be a part of that discussion. (Of course that is wishful thinking in America, apparently)

Amongst this discussion: REVENGE PORN. Boys, when your ego gets bruised

He described bushes that didn't exist from which Trayvon jumped? He actually WAS following Trayvon Martin and kept changing his story. He was following Trayvon and was told to not follow him by the police. He then got out of his own car to follow him and provoke an altercation. Zimmerman was a wannabe-Batman ( who

If you followed the trial that closely, then you would know Trayvon Martin was 5'11" and 158 lbs. This is in the report of the MEDICAL EXAMINER who examined the body. The actual autopsy report is posted this place called ONLINE. I realize that doesn't comport with the conservative blogosphere that circulated a

All the accounts of what happened are problematic. You only seem to think one side alone is. If you are so ideologically blinkered that you can't see the weaknesses and strengths of both sides, then have fun with that. I am not that way, but I've been trained in formal logic and law, so maybe that has something to do

Dude, I'm pretty sure I already went over this with you. You don't know for sure that Zimmerman wasn't still following Martin, that's just what HE said. Martin wasn't around to tell his side of the story. You don't know he was ambushed, that's what HE said. Again, no Martin to dispute it. Even the witnesses

Yeah, the prosecution cocked up. Dude shouldn't have been able to get his version of events out there without being a witness. Which he wasn't.

Sorry you didn't get the point. There are various versions of of the supposed chronology of events. Zimmerman's account is nonsensical. If you are that credulous, more power to you. I am not.

If he wanted to be a witness he could've taken the witness stand and been subjected to cross-examination. You know, like witnesses are.

Mr. Zimmerman trailed Trayvon in his car and placed a call to the police. The dispatcher told him to stay in his car and said the police would be on the way. But Mr. Zimmerman got out.

I think you forget that this is action taken by the court that wasn't even going to press charges in the first place. This thorough investigation you speak of did not take place until well after the crime had happened.

You do realize the only "evidence" of this is the claims of the one person left alive from this encounter? I have no doubt Zimmerman was getting his ass kicked by the person he deemed "suspicious" and decided to pursue because "these assholes always get away". How was he not following when he EXITED HIS VEHICLE

The only witness that supports this story is the man who just got away with shooting an unarmed teen. He has a lot to gain by perpetuating this narrative. Actual facts are that he followed Trayvon, the 911 call confirms this. At some point there was a fight. Someone (impossible to know who for certain) screamed for

The defendant didn't take the witness stand, no.
