I feel what your saying. I've literally rebuilt a Model T, a model A and currently working on a 50 jeep. You want to feel numb? Drive something like that then drive something with over assisted steering and brakes. Manual controls make you realise what you've been missing. 

And my key point is don’t use it regardless of head material.
