People buy unecessary options...and what are the things a car has to do...all of these get you from a to b, likely safer than a car from only 10 years ago.

20 grand isn’t all that cheap, and that list is base MSRP. Option a compact sedan out to do the things normal people want cars to do these days, and you’ll have a very expensive car pretty quickly.
None. As someone who has an affinity for 80s-2000s Japanese cars, they’re in the past. I can enjoy the ones that are out there (and I even own a couple myself), but I’d much rather see creativity and resources used towards creating future icons. Most of these reproductions will be letdowns: too expensive for the…
I know what you’re getting at, but let’s not forget the contemporary prison industries...
It would be gloriously hilarious if GM reissued this LeMans instead of the one everyone expects them to.
uBlock Origin is the only way I can get commenting to work on Jalopnik. If I’m not blocking the ads, clicking “Reply” does nothing for a few seconds, then jumps to the top of the page and opens a large version of the image at the top of the story.
“I was behind a person who got rear ended”
That was my first thought, but that’s a big assumption since shit is still scattered all over the ground. You’d think a conversation and inspection of damage would have included a little clean up too.
A group of people, say, organized into a government, choosing to give a portion of their income, typically collected as taxes, to a for profit company, without receiving a product or service in return, is called a subsidy.
I think it’d save me, the reader, a lot of time if they can just load the entire content of Jalopnik.com onto my browser like, all at once, then just randomly flash different pages on the screen every 14 seconds or so.
I don't understand how this is even remotely related to subsidies.
Right on man... You’re right, it would be much better for me to sound like a fool and say “It’s not volunteering if it’s for a for-profit company, it’s slavery.”
When I open my browser on a Kinja/GMG site for the first time, none of the text is visible. All I see are the images. The top banner is unpopulated. So, I click on one of the images and this opens one of the stories. However, now the text is visible, so I can click on “Jalopnik” in the top banner and get the Jalopnik…
Wooosh. Right over his head
Do you honestly think that was his implication?
When we were younger my drunk buddy came flying off the highway, slammed into the back of a car stopped at the light, and took off. His lawyer said it was the best decision he made that night.
Hate to break it to you guys but the hit car is probably the neighbor and they have already resolved the accident between themselves.
It is because it tries to load the next story on the same page as the comments of the one you are reading. They have a persistent bug in the coding that has been present for months, but they refuse to move away from the idea of auto loading the next page. It is messed up.
True story - that Mountaineer owner is better at driving than the photographer is at recording video.
That far back they would have had Ford transmissions or ones Ford sourced from transmission manufacturers.
The reason for using a Mazda transmission today is that the selection of new Ford MTs is rather limited. Even more so for RWD. For a RWD small car MT Mazda is probably the best choice for something that would…
