This is true. My old TDI needed a new fuel tank, struts, electrical work, steering rack which also meant new motor mounts, a thorough rework of the turbo & wastegate to figure out why it wasn’t making enough boost any more...  Would’ve cost about $3k to begin to replace that lot, plus all the other things that were…
