You'll be fine.

So how much money do you think Sony dumped off at Irrational to get Levine to incorporate Move support? More or less than they gave Gabe?

I dislike this disturbing trend of companies getting us to buy the same games over instead of funneling capital into new games. I suppose it's all about making money, though. I can't wait until next generation when I can buy the Super-Ultra-HD 2K resolution edition of SotC with 11.1 surround built in!

98 - yay!

You'd have blood-alcohol poisoning by the 1:00 mark.

What screenshots? All I see is pictures of real cars.

Wow, new respect for David Jaffe! Way to summarize what's wrong with this country in a neat little paragraph. Well said.

I blame the ESRB for this one. If there are themes in there that belittle adopted people (even if it was meant to be funny, that's besides the point), then they should've bumped the rating up to teen, where users sensitive to this stuff would be mature enough to handle it.

I'm currently in my very first play though of the game, and I couldn't agree more about the boat section. It really put me off for a while. Then I came back, got through it, and the game got infinity times better. Just confirming that your memory is correct and the boat part does indeed suck.

I don't think that's cynical. I think it's very matter-of-fact. Microsoft is a business and it's not in their interest to lose customers. That's not a criticism; that's how the system works.

I've only called them once for a billing question. Got through right away, and the guy (who was clearly American!) was really nice and helpful. We even chatted a little about the kinds of games we play (in a non-marketing, I-actually-enjoy-games sort of way). I was thoroughly impressed.

Similar to that mission in Starcraft 2 where you constantly have to keep moving your base from the flaming wall of death while trying to destroy the protoss. Hated that mission.

"among the data lifted were 9000 resumes"

The DS version is the balls. My only quibble is that the new Reptite village felt really sloppy, and was not up to the standards of the game. The new quests were brutally long and redundant, but I suffered through them anyhow, because they rewarded you with some of the best gear in the game. And kudos to whomever did

I haven't played portal 2 yet, but from the preview videos, I remember Wheatley having a much more cockneyed accent. Did they change the voice actor/re-record his dialogue at the last minute?

Oh god. "I only pirate so I can try before I buy." Can we please stop using this incredibly contrived, bullshit excuse? Especially with the innumerable reviews and youtube gameplay videos we get with any new release. I think it's 100% to figure out if you're going to like a game without being a pirating ass.

Infinity Ward, sans all those guys who rage quit after MW2.
