Yes, but they continue to keep cars running from the time that the embargo started in 1960. They didn't go bringing back junked Model T Fords (perhaps some did, but the vast majority did not) and only drive those cars from there on out.

I'm not disputing any of those facts. However, it is absolutely unbelievable that those are the only vehicles that would survive. Especially since there are more in these pictures than you see on the road TODAY.
