Craggs, the one issue with you being in the big chair, is you don't write as much. This is wonderful. Thanks.

Are you familiar with ratings, attendance and surveys?

One of the best fake accounts. Nailing it.

It will eventually come crashing down, with the internet becoming more and more the venue of choice for the kids today.

Extinction? Got to be hamsters. Every parent is faced with the "can I have a hamster" question, and it never ends well. You either say no, which invokes tears and rage, or yes, which means you have a small ugly rodent caged in your house. It is desperate to escape and will. Then you have to search for it, hoping

Thats Hal, Hank is the spitting image of his Dad and has been essentially exiled.

If you haven't read the Isaacson bio of Steve Jobs, do so. Warts and all, and a great read.

Should Ralph Kiner make the broadcasting wing in the Hall of Fame? Can't Mcarver put in a good word?

Kids today...

Charter member of Deadspin LLC Kid Canada drumming up some business. FWIW, while I enjoy Roenick's banter, he is a bit of a dick. Lot of anti-NHLPA stuff on his twitter. Owner's have fucked themselves over, and JR seems to think the players should give in. I will leave the food stamp comment alone.

Hi Bob, Shouldnt this have been done yesterday?

yep, that one cup in the past 71 years is a sure sign of franchise supremacy. Devils are by far the most successful franchise in the past 30 years. FYI, if you are using 30 years, the Islanders are the more successful franchise. Rangers are the Maple Leafs. Loudmouth fan base, absolutely no real results to show for

Would he rather drive to Brooklyn or Seattle?

Lifelong Islander fan, and this is the best possible outcome. Nassau dragged their feet for years, thinking the Islanders wouldnt move. Brooklyn is easy to get to, either by car, subway or train. Fan base needed some hope, and now we have it. Potvin doesn't suck, the Rangers do.

There are more soccer fans and players in Queens, than anywhere in the area. Pass any local bar on a Saturday afternoon, and you are as likely to see a Premier league game as a college football game. Between the Latino and European communities, this will draw. Red Bull arena is a nice place, but it is a pain in the

To the folks pointing out that this isnt Goodells call, or fault. You are aguing that he should keep his job because he is impotent and ineffective? He took the job as commissioner, he is the face of the league. Its his fault.

When has a consumer boycott for anything ever actually worked? Especially something as popular as the NFL.

People bet on pre-season games, so I dont think the betting will stop for any reason. There has not been a successful boycott of anything ever. It would take a player walkout, and that isnt happening either.

Its not just the bloggers anymore. ESPN, SI, and just about every organization is saying something along these lines. Remember, they have a stake in the NFL, or my guess is they would be apoplectic as well. Its an utter disgrace this season.

It's challenging the real power behind the scenes, the owners whose cash makes the league go, and the players are finding out just little they and their precious CBA matter when up against 32 billionaires in a smoky back room.
