I seem to remember a race where Audi was behind Peugeot by ~ 3 seconds per lap and still came out with a victory.

That may be true, but with rain in the forecast throughout the weekend.... Le Mans sometimes just comes down to blind luck.

Vote: Aeropress

Your identifying signs are understandable. It's kinda like walking around and noticing the tourists, but instead of just assuming they're tourists you can just look at the badges. :)

I think you hit the nail on the head. I think we're getting old. *sigh*

I was in the city last weekend for my anniversary, and I kept on seeing people walking around with GDC badges. First, they didn't need to wear the badge to pick up some tasty stir fry in Chinatown. Second, well, naw, I'll leave it at that.

I saw this last night and thought, "This Pepsi Max advertising campaign is kicking total ass. I might actually try one."

Hobbies don't have to be productive. They provide only one thing - enjoyment of activity. I disagree that coffee enthusiasts don't get hours of "true" entertainment. Experimenting with different grinds/water temps/pressure settings, conversation with fellow enthusiasts over their results, etc. While they may seem

Just made a couple of eggs this way. Turned out perfect. My only complaint is that instead of a pot to clean I then had two bowls and two mesh strainers in addition.

The egg wants to stick to the strainer. I don't know what would happen if you greased it, worth trying once. However, rolling the egg out into the water makes for one of the easiest poached eggs I've ever made.

Thanks for the series this week! I've enjoyed reading it every day.

Yeah, so? Good for you buddy.

HA! Nope.

Like wine, people who love great coffee will go to great lengths to have the best cup they can.

I grew up on percolated coffee. A lot of people think it ruins coffee, but when you're sitting around a campfire on a cold morning, nothing tastes better.

I'll throw in another vote for the Aeropress. I've tried different methods, from my early days with the auto-drip, then to the French press, then the pour overs, then to the convenience of the Kuerig My-K-Cup. Nothing I've tried has made a better cup of coffee than the Aeropress, and for ~ $35 it has been the best

People are really overreacting to this article as an attack on their lifestyle.

Being in an awe-inspiring moment is 100x looking at the photo of one.

I'll start off with a two shot Americano (Aeropress!!) I make at home and usually supplement that with 3-4 cups of the Folgers crud that we have here at work.
