I’m a full on admitted beer nob, er snob. You probably won’t find Corona chilling in my fridge (I need that room for my growlers of Imperial IPAs, Goses, crazy ABV imperial stouts, a bottle of Pliny, and a can of Heady).

I enjoy them, actually. Good summer beer. Light and easy to drink.
That would have been painfully embarrassing in middle school, but these days I think I’d dig it. Women’s athletic shoes (running shoes in particular) have all kinds of crazy colors and patterns you can’t get in men’s. Unfortunately I wear a size 12.5 so I doubt there are too many lady’s shoe options in my size
A lot of people moan about how American cars don’t sell well in Japan and the trade deficit stemming from this. I always point to JDM kei cars to explain why American cars are not suited for Japan hence would never ever sell in significant numbers.
I thought the Corvette and Silverado were the only GM vehicles people like and want to buy?
B+ on the bad armchair lawyer grading scale. If you’d gone over the top and invoked RICO you could have gotten an A. Too bad.
So if you’re black, you can’t catch a cab. If you’re a cop, you can’t catch an Uber. If you’re a black cop, you’re getting too old for this sh*t.
Recently bought a new house, during our search the one thing that was a no-go was if the place had a HOA. Fuck some HOAs.
Why do people join HOAs?
Honest question, I’ve never heard of *any* good reason to be part of one; they just seem like you’re agreeing to give control over what you can and can’t do on your property to the worst bored old-lady busybody stereotypes.
I made a donation to the ACLU this morning. That was the first political donation I have ever made.
God, it is sad the Red Scare-era quotes are still so relevant, but:
I believe this. As a long time rider I have that feeling of vulnerability and more skin in the game than non-riders do...as well as learned behaviors like head checks (never believe mirrors, they lie) when changing lanes, constant awareness of who is where and doing what around me, and even some aspects of balance I…
Actually, if you remove “beginners” from the motorcycle accident statistics, they are about twice as good as just car drivers.
but isn’t that what economists do... assume that people will act rationally? isn’t that the basis of modern economics? :)
Don’t kid yourself.
one of my favourite signs today was just south of Dundas and held by a man standing on the sidelines. it said in huge letters: PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP. My girlfriend and I just squeezed each others hands and talked about how nice it was to see the allyship.
I rallied and marched in Toronto today. There were about 60,000 people. It looked like almost half of the attendees were men - groups of men, men with the women in their lives, single men who brought their children, large extended families that included children, dads, and grandfathers. It was so diverse in every way…
Since they’re owned by an American company, it’ll probably be taxpayers.
