Same with Costco stuff. I once wanted to buy off-season Christmas cookies— normally $8.99— and they were on Amazon for $30 a tin. Now I just buy 3 tins when they’re for sale at Costco and ration it over the year because I guess I’m okay with stale Christmas cookies in July.

I mean, at least ask for the flower stickers if you’re going to buy something at the register. It’s the least they can do.

Oops, I didn’t realize the Mirai didn’t qualify for federal tax incentives. It’s still eligible for the California rebate along with other FCEVs. PHEVs qualify if they meet some minimum battery size.

Another situation that highlights this difference: when I (a woman) tell a salesperson that I need to consult my husband before making a decision, they usually let me go without further questions. Now I kind of regretting buying that Honda Clarity PHEV (but only a little, considering the tax credit and Honda’s incentives). I’m just telling myself that there will be even more PHEV or BEV options available when it comes time to replace it.

I really like LaneWatch, too. My only gripes are that the display in the center console is awkward, because it takes my eyes down and off the road, and that it’s not always on by default. If they had another screen higher up, I think that would make it more intuitive to use.

Unless there’s an annual fee or other monetary cost associated with maintaining the card, it’s really not worth the hassle to close the account. The reduction in your total credit line will be a hit to your overall credit.
