Yep! Super easy. Just mix up the sauce and pour it over your sprouts. We usually make 2-3 pounds at a time for meal prep Sundays, so roasting them on 2-3 half-sheets makes the most sense.

Oh my!
Yeah, people really underestimate the power of vegetables that aren’t a sad salad, and Brussels sprouts are perfectly shaped for party food! I’ve never thought to bring asparagus, but the next time I find some chubby ass spears for sale close to a party date, I’ll give it a try.
I don’t have a formal recipe, unfortunately, but see my comment above for a starting point! I think everyone’s preference will be a little different. I prefer my sprouts a little sweeter/saltier and a little less spicy, so I spike in a bit more sugar and some soy sauce.
We roast ‘em— it’s the only way we’ve been able to get the crispy char on the leaves. Plus we tend to make them 2-3 pounds at a time, so roasting in bulk is a lot easier to manage.
TJ’s party meatballs with BBQ sauce (nothing fancy, good ol’ Sweet Baby Ray’s by the quart). Steam up 1-2 bags in the Instant Pot, slather them in BBQ sauce and voila. Serve with toothpicks to make things feel more hors d’oeuvres-y
Steel actually has a relatively low heat capacity. Not as low as pure metals or metal-only alloys, but certainly much lower than most organic substances. That’s neither here nor there, though.
A metal spoon will get hot first, but slowly, so my hand will notice and warn me the food is hot.
If the wood and metal are at the same temperature does it matter? That sounds a lot like the “which weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of bricks” thing.
Taste test in whatever spoon material you want, but as a misophonia sufferer, don’t do that stupidly loud slurping move and claim that it helps you “taste the flavors better” because of air flow or whatever. Or if you are, warn me so I can leave the room :(
The wooden spoon would also transfer heat to your flesh much slower than a metal one. Steam a wooden spoon and metal spoon to the same temperature and put it against your skin-- the wooden spoon is going to be a lot more pleasant.
Or farming soul shards so you could make healthstones for the raid. And then suffer through all the trading requests.
I had to look this clip up again because I remembered liking it a lot. Reading those YouTube comments though...yikes.
Oh man, I’m so sorry.
I want to try this, but it’s just too easy to turn heavy cream into whipped cream with an immersion blender (which I literally only use for whipping cream).
Depending on where you are in your career, you might have better luck reaching out to your alumni association— which usually operates alongside, but generally independently of the university (and usually charge a membership fee).
It’s probably more fair to refer to them as “organic” and “inorganic” sunscreens, as per suggestion by Labmuffin (who I highly recommend reading, as she’s well-qualified and explains the science behind skincare with minimal snark or sensationalism).
You might not need one, depending on how much money you have to invest. Like MV Majors said above, an S&P500 or total index fund (SPY, ITOT, VTI) is a solid starting point.
Yep. Last I read, HOV access for EVs ends 4 years from when you get the sticker, or 2025, whichever comes first. So 2021 would be the last year to buy an eligible vehicle and still make use of 4 full years. Granted, it looks like CARB doesn’t mention 2025 as the ending date anymore, so maybe they’re just going to…
Except your home value is only SLIGHTLY tied to your neighbor’s home value. And that’s going to depend 100% on the buyer too. Exactly what percent of your home value am I responsible to maintain?
