Well, suggesting people should only contribute up to the company match is a questionable pronouncement.

Along with the women in Eric Prydz’s Call On Me music video (though I think it would have been way more interesting if he also wore the same outfit).

At the risk of being inundated with anti-GMO rhetoric (I dare you to Google “GMO palm oil”. The first page is 99% anti-GMO marketing), the utility of palm oil makes it a good candidate for genetic modification— either by making the plant itself more productive or tolerant of different agricultural conditions, or

I have the same issue with car head rests and plane seats where it feels like my head is being crowded in the back. Maybe it’s an inner ear problem, but I almost always immediately feel nauseated/dizzy once the vehicle starts moving. Only manage to get some relief by reclining the seat back.

I’m always deeply disturbed that these people are so quick to assume modern medicine is dangerous despite huge bodies of data suggesting otherwise, yet are more than happy to try methods that have no evidence of efficacy or safety.

Right? Softened butter is almost always the reason why I don’t bother trying to bake, but now...

I don’t think the podcast reveals much more than Bad Blood already has, but it is well-produced and the interviews help make the situation that much more real.

Sit-ups. I always get this weird pressure in my head and in my ears during the up motion and I end up feeling dizzy after maybe 10 of them.

Important question: is there any way to get get the Mega Man Mega Buster for Nero without buying the Deluxe edition?

Any recs? Going to be spending a few days in downtown Portland this months. Won’t have a car, so it’d have to be somewhere relatively accessible by TriMet.

Oh no nononono

I always assumed it was because the salesperson was working really hard negotiating the best price they could for me with their hard-ass manager who just won’t budge. Or...is that not what happens when they go in the back to “check with their manager”?

I totally forgot about that part! Sounds like Dante already had a good idea on who Nero is.

There’s something weirdly hilarious about this tradition.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Was that the whole affinity to Yamato thing? I remember reading a PSM article (yeah, I subscribed) years ago saying that Nero was a newcomer, “but not a Sparda,” so that really threw me for a loop for the past 12 years, I guess.

Okay, that was probably what was being cited.
