definitely feels like you missed the point of the game Ethan. Like others have said, the game itself is already full of ridiculous stuff. By the mid point i was driving everywhere on paved roads and ziplining, to the point that the delivery component was completely trivial.

The limitations are largely what define pixel art. It’s having to create art within a specific set of rules that makes it interesting. Which isn’t to say high detail, high fidelity pixel art doesn’t look good, but it’s also very costly so few developers bother with it.

What a dullard you are.  There are so many more games available all the time, you don’t have to play a single retro graphic game and still have no shortage of good games.  More good games is only a benefit to everyone, regardless of anyone’s aesthetic preferences.

God I hope not. Art is not some linear progression forwards towards some ideal state.

It’s a valid aesthetic. It might just be a game that’s not for you if you can’t play it because of it.

Why move past anything when tons of people appreciate and want more of this?

What if you just didn’t play the games you didn’t like?

What indie game has trouble running on the Switch that makes you think it’s  showing it’s age?
