You're right, he's nowhere near Vanderbilt and Carnagie in terms of contributions to society, but today, people like them don't really exist. Steel and railways are very different from electric cars and rockets in terms of customer base and return on investment; where modern technology is applicable to one or two

Now, now; at least they're being extremely successful. They even payed off their government loans years in advance. It could be much worse. *Cough* Solyndra *Cough* Fisker *Cough**Cough*

You're right; I should have brought that up in the second paragraph. I mentioned him in the first so that trolls couldn't bring his South African origins up in an attempt to sound clever. With Tesla, SpaceX, Paypal, and Hyperloop under his belt, I would certainly agree with you that he is one of America's most

And may I be the first to say, thank God. I cannot put into words how thankful I will be when big-brand car makers selling crummy econoboxes can no longer rub it in our faces that their cars are 'more American' than the other names in cheap, crappy cars. For once, the most American of cars will be a truly American

I agree, it looks severely out of place, but I'm surprised that no one has mentioned how stupid the flat logo looks:

Why did we stop making gorgeous racecars like this? Not that the R18 or C7.R or anything else don't look good, but this Breadvan is on another level entirely!

How does Volvo do it? Brand new safety test for this segment, and they still ace it, presumably without preparation/knowing how it would perform. Absolutely fantastic.

I agree with you that the CrossCabrio's arse is hideous, but that Ever S... Side humps and faux trunks are one thing, but the Filandi is a mix of Fiero pseudo-lambo and shitty Oragami. That's without even mentioning the exhausts... The Murano is a disgusting, ugly car, but at least it's not a low-quality body kit like

@Seoultrain, I prefer the rabadged version of the Mercury Enola Gay, the Ford Bockscar. A bit more power, and a lot more definitive. Also, the fact that the Enola Gay is the one everyone remembers gives the Bockscar a sense of rarity prized by enthusiasts, kinda like the Maserati MC12 when compared to the Enzo.

As you probably know, Mini is owned by BMW, the same company that is spending $900 Million(!!!!) upgrading an old facility. If they have that much dough to sling around, they have the ability to make a segment of their business cater more to enthusiasts than soccer moms who want a massive car with a cutsey name. I

It took me a little while to get used to it, but since it was the only color available in NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, it grew on me pretty quickly. Kinda reminds me of the One:1's paint. Fantastic car by all accounts.

Is gray okay if it has orange highlights?

Chris Christie has already said he doesn't deserve the blame for Tesla not being able to sell cars in New Jersey. And of all people, constantly shamed ex-politician Anthony Weiner agrees with him.

It's a few years out, to be sure, but I'm still surprised that all of the VTOL concepts, namely the Moller SkyCar, haven't mentioned this already. It's sure to be an issue in a couple years, and we should be thinking of solutions to this problem now.

It's been a while since I fully understood what that meant... I'm tempted to go back and replay the final scenes where Altair gets it. I remember it making sense when I first played the game.

I thought it was the Dingleberry GT...? Still vaporware, no matter what you call it.

They're being really lenient allowing dead bystanders. It technically goes against the Creed...

I honestly hadn't thought of that when I wrote the post. Looking at some of the photos from the link, I don't see why they would have to remove the whole thing, but it makes more sense than the owner removing it.

I'm actually not seeing most of the roll structure... I know it's a newer model, but my '08's roll bars come all the way back, past the rear seats. Since I can't see any reason for the semi to have taken out the rear roll structure, I suppose it was removed. I love how extensive the customization culture is for Jeeps,

I wish Mclaren would hurry up and post the time so we can know. Everyone assumes that the reason they haven't made it known to everyone is that it wasn't as good as Porsche's, right? What's Mclaren waiting for? Porsche's time to get slower? Run the 'Ring a few more times and beat them, or just post your fastest time.
