The thing about MIAMI VICE was that if you just describe it to people- "it's a cop show shot like a music video"- it sounds stupid and cheezy.
But they were pretty good at picking the right songs for the right sequences, and when it worked, it worked like GANGBUSTERS.

Absolutely. The problem with MOS isn't that "Superman" kills; the problem is that it takes that potentially really interesting dramatic idea and botches it because the director and writer are utterly tone-deaf.
