After my trip to the BMW CCA Foundation for their Heroes of Bavaria display I stopped by the Zentrum. I was surprised to find this M collection of 4 cars in beautiful 1/64!
This is my 1/64 Kyosho McLaren F1 GTR, chassis #17R. And it’s meeting its 1/1 self for the first time! This F1 GTR is owned by BMW North America. It is currently on display down here in South Carolina at the BMW Car Club of America Foundation, along with a number of significant BMWs. Why is there a McLaren in the mix?…
F1 GTR by Kyosho . . . Wait, wha???
I hope to get some better photos of this jewel from my collection.
Here’s my first shoot of the new GT40's on my diorama. I mainly focused on the race winner this time. A new backdrop would be nice, so I’m toying with some ideas. Preferably something a little less labor-intensive and also easier to store than this 4' diorama!
There haven’t been any posts for 4 hours, so, you know.
I just picked up this lovely COBRA hauler and decided to pair it with some related metal: Cobras, my Shelby Daytona Coupe, and of course my new GT40s.
You did know I love GT40s, right?
It’s good. Very good! Here it is at my desk at work with a few of my customs and a drawing from my son. I picked up 3 of them for future customs!
I walked into my Walmart and there it was, there very car I’ve been hoping to find!!! This is one of the most highly-anticipated cars of the year for me!
I’ve taken some inspiration from Jobjoris on this one! Of course, with this post the comic book is the real star.
I love McLarens! This orange 12C GT3 is the latest addition to my British stable.
Ford’s new GT is one of my all-time favorite cars. The shape is exciting, futuristic, and totally unique. Yet it retains its heritage and builds upon its history. Iterations of the GT are few and far between. They’ve hit this one out of the park!
As far as I am aware, these are all three versions of the Bugatti Type 57C Cabriolet produced by Hot Wheels. If there are any I’ve missed, please let me know!
This beauty has been in the box for a while. I received it from Jobjoris last Fall but refrained from detailing it until it had some company in the detailing booth. More on that later!
Here’s the next installment of photos from The Mitty.
Here are more of my photos from a few weeks ago at The Mitty. Enjoy!
I finally finished up this little guy! Just a fairly simple strip and repaint job, with new wheels. He was in pretty rough shape. Dinged paint, bent axles, etc. I don’t even remember if this was one I had in my childhood or if I acquired it more recently. It was in need of a full restoration though!
A few weeks ago I excitedly stumbled across these three trucks at a diecast shop. I like military vehicles, but I haven’t really collected any to this point. The owner had these marked as $4 each, which seemed pretty good to me.
