I really hope season 3 of Bridgerton does not continue the ridiculous storyline they created for Eloise and Penelope. They wrote Eloise into a corner with a boring storyline.

I moved from MA to TX. The politics are indeed absolutely horrifying and inhumane. I am scared to live here, but also scared to leave. Why would I be scared to flee such a dystopian mega church conglomerate?

Let doctors do the doctoring. Ken Paxton is a should be convicted felon. Why does he get to decide if someone is having issues with their body? Why is the government deciding at all? You would think a person that wants more children is one of the ‘good ones” in their eyes.

It’s clear to me now that the site shutdown was a clever ruse to trick me into confessing to being Crystal Jewell’s author. Closing the site was exactly the correct way to take advantage of my soppy sentimental side.

My sincere hope is the site is not just back but returns to some of the former quality and insight that made it a an outsized-pop culture staple. Frankly the site had been in decline for years before its shuttering. I don’t mean to shit on you or any other writers who, I gather, have been working under less-than-ideal…

Welp.  Guess that’s curtains Jez.  Been an interesting ride for the last few decades .... I wonder how many folks remember names like MizJenkins and others who came before.

I will genuinely miss this site every day. It had its faults, but at its best, it was fucking awesome. Best of luck to the entire staff, hope something better for you is on the horizon.

RIP Jezebel. With some of the Gawker sites not taking comments anymore (Quartz, The Root, Deadspin), and the departure of Lifehacker, there’s very little reason to believe all of Gawker isn’t doomed. What a disappointment - this place used to be great.
