“Really? I would never. I could never do that. Especially knowing we’re trying to have a kid. Just...just abort mission because they’re gonna have some challenges and we’re gonna have some challenges? I’m mentally tough enough to handle whatever challenge that may present.”

My cynical hypothesis is that the Supreme Court may support the right to abort septic pregnancies so they can then turn around and say “See? Overturning R vs W wasn’t monsterous! We can have a common-sense compromise!”

All the unconcerned parents read your post and went “eh, who cares?”

New York Times review of the Buffy’s 1997 premiere: “Given to hot pants and boots that should guarantee the close attention of Humbert Humberts all over America, Buffy is just your average teen-ager, poutily obsessed with clothes and boys.”

Yep, this. In fact, I’ve always argued that Joss’s work got markedly worse, both in its craftsmanship and its representation of women, when people stopped treating him as a skilled artisan who wrote well-constructed stories about the sort of women who interested him and started lauding him as this Genius Artiste

I honestly wonder if Whedon actually truly believed the things he was saying early in his career?

not saying i do this and go back to sleep. not me ;)

Eh, she’s not dead. I haven’t read this story and I’m 100% sure she’s not dead.

After last night, I’m feeling a Warren/Harris ticket. So guess I’ll have a kale caesar at the buffet today.

But then you’d just end up with a Brontësaurus.

. . . Well, I guess if we’re looking for silver linings, I appreciate that for once someone in the anti-abortion movement is being candid. Even accepting his logic, however (which, to be clear, I do not):

It’s really weird to me how anti-choicers can simultaneously prattle on about the myriad blessings of “God’s children” but also view having children as a just punishment for being sexually active.

I’m honestly astounded that this isn’t satire.

Seriously? If we’ve learned anything from Buffy S6 is that you don’t bring things back from the dead...

So the hell what if they are
