Wow... that’s five minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

Looks like you’re at odds with the drivers in the lawsuit there:
This is pretty straight forward in my eyes, and the case makes the argument pretty clearly. If Lyft, Uber, and other gig economy employees were actually independent contractors, they would be able to set the rates for their labor. Can’t set the rates? You’re an employee.
Counterpoint: we tolerate cars littering our landscape without complaint.
It seems like that would defeat a lot of the benefit of the scooters though. Maybe I’m wrong (I’ve never used one), but to me the nice thing about them is you can take them from anywhere to anywhere, not just a few pre-defined stations.
Problem is, then you have all of these scooter docks all over. If they’re not everywhere, then you can’t leave them close to where you want to go which defeats the purpose of them. I think I’d rather deal with a few scooters around the place than scooter docks everywhere.
This series was one of the first things I went crazy over. Like, wait for the monthly release, beg parents to buy, crazy. For a while, getting a new BSC book was my reward for good grades, chores, etc, I tell my parents they got off easy with me. Funny that the diverse nature of them never stuck out to me, I took…
I really don’t think anyone watching auto-racing cares about “burning oil” as being a turn-off or not being an attractor for their attention.
“despite the fact that Khalifa performed in but a handful of films, despite the fact that she says she was in the industry for “three or four” short months”
I dunno, man. Seems like, with the current pack of fuckwits in charge, we ALL only have about a 9-10 year life expectancy. So, why not go out in glory for our new liege?
Actually no, your assessment is garbage.
Oh, he’d be a perfect sub. He’d bring so much change, there’d be dimes all over the court.
I think he’s got a few pictures still around in the country.
I dunno, thinking about your mom’s hands usually helps me
A “shelled” pistachio means it has the shell removed. In yet another inexplicable quirk of the English language, to “shell”, verb, means to remove the shell from a nut, seed or pod. So perhaps his girlfriend assumed the shell had already been removed if he was referring to them as “shelled pistachio”?
And they’ll hover like vultures to get that close parking space at the gym. ;)
SB’s version of NIMBYism is “but we can’t spare the water for more people.” Then they go and water their lawn for the third time that week.
The thing is, SB has several parking structures downtown and they’re the cheapest I’ve ever seen. Hell, in a lot of cases the first 90 minutes are *free*. If someone can’t be bothered to park for free in a ramp and then walk 2 blocks for their Habit burger I don’t have a lot of sympathy.
American Graffitti is a very solid precursor to a bunch of Richard Linklater movies, Pulp Fiction, and other movies involving loosely connected scenes with big casts that gradually pull together. It’s not the first movie like that, but it was really influential.
