Well if the sedan/coupe are the same price and avail, yeah definitely worth buying from carmax. I was saying buying the conv. version just to get a M3 is not worth it.

Literally the worst version of the E9x M3 you can buy. The heaviest and the least practical. Drove one years back and boy did it NOT feel like a M3. Bleh.

Except the 996 GT3 never feels leaden/heavy, whereas the E9x M3s do. That’s the huge difference.

The statement about starting price being 100k makes me wonder if they are referring only to the S and GLS+ EVs. Otherwise there’s no way anyone would want to pay 100k for a sub-E class EV.

As opposed to what? BMW or Audi? Neither of the other German lux brand is the pinnacle of reliability and over-engineering these days.

Different cars for different purposes. My camry is for getting to work, and it serves that purpose well. I’ve got a weekend highly impractical sports car for my “enthusiast” side. I never do get why some ppl need to bash camry drivers, considering there are others like me who DD a camry, and own a weekend car is just

Salute you on living and driving in SF. I’d only ever take my DD ‘07 V6 camry into the city because I won’t have to worry about getting hit by crazy cyclists and idiot drivers if I take my weekend car..That and I can ignore all potholes.

My DD is a boring V6 3.5L camry, and I have a NA miata with all manuals(yes even the freakin steering and windows), and had a STI before. So yeah funny to have people treat me like I’m some gray haired senior haha..

You’ve got a Land Cruiser that’s still legendary in its off-road prowess, even in the recent plushed up generations. That’s far from a boring car.

They’re cute Japanese girls filming, so this rule does not apply. Plus whining about videos shot that way, so very 2013.

Expecting people to tell that was a joke/sarcasm based on words alone? Yeah okay.

Wasn’t that her song being played in the HD 2.8 video, just as bgm and not sung by her?

He didn’t build his own car. He built a system that controls the car he purchased. Huge difference.

As long as you don’t damage the body or chassis(bonded/extruded tub) then you’re good. That rear clam is last time I checked 8k-10k to replace? Any moderate damage to that chassis that’s the main section then you’re probably looking at total loss :P

IIRC the plain jane 911s for gen 993 and prior(I want to say at least up to the 911 SCs?) all share the same mezger block. If they’re regularly maintained(e.g. lifters adjusted at the recommended interval, etc), there shouldn’t be anything crushingly expensive. I could be wrong of course since I haven’t delve as deep

Ha okay. Didn’t realize you were talking about that :P

not far behind which car?

Is the new STI really that good to beat even the EVO? I remember the S-AYC and the S-AWC for the EVO make it a really good corner carver, with the S-AWC being torque vectoring, but on the rear axlem, as well as brake/throttle modulation.

Mwahaha. Reminds me of another poster who’s at least 40 and acts like the world revolves around him and he can demand someone else to not be logical/believe in his stubborn WRONG thinking because his head is shoved so far up his ass XD

I don’t recall it being that bad. Nowhere near as bad as the last boss of Uncharted 2 when I said “Fuck this I’m selling this game and I’ll just go watch the ending on youtube” Yeah I flat out didn’t want to waste more time doing that.
