It’s definitely leaning towards the irredeemable place, at least after the end of this half-season. My question is, do they dare push boundaries and go for some sort of suicide event, or is it just a series that ends with him on the skids in a drunken stupor for the rest of his short life?

I’ve wondered about that, too.  Whataburger and Steak n’ Shake are two that spring to mind as being 24/7 including the dining room.  Doesn’t seem to hurt them any.  SnS on a Saturday morning around 2am is usually a madhouse since it’s one of the few places to eat a meal inside at that hour other than Awful House.

I know I’m in a distinct minority here, but anytime I’ve had chocolate boosted with coffee or espresso powder, it’s just tasted like coffee-flavored chocolate.  I never get that intensified chocolate flavor everyone else claims to detect.

My mom’s the same way but only with Splenda packs. I’ve even bought her the mini-box full of individual packs off Amazon to wean her off her stealing but they just sat, unused, for years.

I had no idea Wendy’s was in on this pretzel bun game. My first experience was the Oktoberfest burger at Steak n’ Shake. It had the same issue as the BK bun: the burger and condiments overwhelmed the pretzel flavor and it was left as just this hard puck texture.

That’s my biggest complaint about Culver’s, the cost for the quality and portion sizes. I don’t mind paying more for good quality beef and toppings, but every burger I’ve had at my local store has had a chewy, tough crust on the beef. And their burgers are dwarfed by the ones from the Whataburger next door.

Alright, you lot convinced me. This is like the third Marmite-boosting thing I’ve seen online in the last month. And my local Publix stocks it, so I bought some last night.

Perhaps it’s best labeled as an “Asian-style” hot sauce then.  It’s sold in stores next to the other American hot sauces, not in the international aisle, so to me it’s all-American despite the label and history.

One thing that May Ploy is great in is a local restaurant’s crab dip:

I’m pretty sure the “cost plus 10%” store up the road from me qualifies. On the same aisle is “Mexican” which is almost 50% Central American, and “Oriental”. I haven’t seen that on a store sign anywhere else in decades.

I’ll have to double check next time I go, but I’m pretty sure the brand-new Publix in my town lists those as “International” unlike the older stores. It’s divided up by cuisine/region along the aisle, and it’s strictly imports, except the Hispanic section where American-made tortillas are also stocked. But the rest of

But you can make M&M chocolate chip cookies with them.  Surely that has to count for something?

If his happened where I live, the story would end with, “And then the guy shot me six times.”

Stray observations:

Lordy, you just brought back a memory from the deepest recesses of cola-memories.  That stuff was really good!  And incredibly hard to find.  Harder to find than Cherry RC, even.

My only experience with Mezzo Mix was at the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, years ago, when I was but a wee lass.  Orange Coke from the Magic Coke Masheen is a pretty good consolation prize, at least.  We have a world market type place that I’ve never been in, I’ll have to go one day and see if they have Mezzo Mix.  I

Dad’s in a glass bottle is a pretty dang good root beer. Hopefully if a test materializes, they can find a way to include some harder to find brands like Frostop, Frostie and Dog-n-Suds.

Since we’re in snack cake territory I nominate the limited edition Chocolate Vanilla Creme. They used to be one of the regular flavors, but now only come out from time to time. They are better than any choco-pastry as far as I’m concerned.

You don’t have to be consuming CBD to down a shot glass of ranch, though, right?

I can wholeheartedly believe this; I lived in small town Mississippi for nearly eight years. The eastern half of the state is basically redneck Alabama but with more klan members; the western half makes the Central African Republic look like France. The suburbs around Memphis aren’t so bad, and the coast is very
