Honestly thought the last episode was a mess, and a lot of that has to do with the decision to have Danny open up the tomb last episode so we could see what’s in it - the more effective, classic comic book / thriller plot structure would have the tomb opening concurrently with the rest of the team showing up to fight,

Yeah, Luke’s reticence about killing the Hand/blowing up their building was really annoying to me as well. It was doubly annoying, given the current discussion about the relative morality of fighting Nazis.

“What does it mean to be a hero?” — A third grade essay by Karen.

Elektra and Madame Gao both probably survived.

“Once we start that timer, there’s no turning back.”
“Actually, if we really needed to abort we could just pull the detonators out of the C4. It’s a remarkably stable explos—”
“I SAID THERE’S NO TURNING BACK!!”

Looks like you gave Elektra's powers more thought than the writers did. They birthed her in this mystical mumbo-jumbo and then… she's just fast and good with weapons?

The character interactions were great and easily the highlight of the whole show, but the plot was pretty meh.

**REFLECTIONS ON THE WHOLE SEASON**

I'm at ep 5 and I have to officially say this show sucks. The writing is fucking horrendous and the fight choreography is the worst. They're managing to make Matt Murdock look bad in fight scenes and that's a G-D sin. I never liked the character of Colleen or the actress' performance in Iron Fist (or anything,

I think they think that they are being clever by subverting expectations..Cottonmouth is another kingpin..bam..he is clocked by his sister..bet you didn't see that coming!. That is the problem right there, if the writers are so interested in surprising the audience, they forget to tell a good story. This pattern was

There's a scene at the end where Jessica Jones and um Jessica Jones's assistant guy have a conversation that's like "what a great character arc you had, you overcame your trauma that was stopping you from being a super-hero and chose to help people again," which in basically no way reflects anything that actually

1) It was super slow starting up. 2) they haven't quite managed to deal with JJ in terms of fighting. She's somewhat strong (and they don't overstress this in her standalone series). But Cage is hulkesque, and the other two have martial arts training to sex up the combat. 3) Some of JJ's lines are almost parody. You

Danny wanted to be proactive, but I'm pretty sure he would have sat down and listened to any plan about how to do that. (He was also right that sitting defensively wasn't going to work with the Hand.) They utterly made the wrong call both ethically and tactically. And I'm not just saying that because of how the plot

Danny's glowering got old and petulant fast. I can't deny I enjoyed watching the other three knock him out.

I did laugh when they all pulled out batons. I mean, were they expecting Danny to walk in and fight them or is it just not done to turn up to a board meeting without a standard-issue Hand baton? :D

I don't disagree. And I like him in the comics! He's just struck me as a time-killing harbinger of MacGuffins too many times in the Netflix adaptations. The shows have enough pacing issues without wasting screentime on vexingly vague obfuscators.

I did like the way Stick went out, though. In a series overflowing with people who are arseholes-but-not-really, it was nice to see one that actually followed through on being the bastard the series made them out to be.

Then they decided to turn them in to a bunch of disney villains. The scenes when they are standing around the table mwhahahaing and all felt like I was watching a live action version of Kingdom hearts.

So I really loved this season. Not a masterpiece, in fact there's a few things I found didn't work but overall what drove the show was it's 4 leads. I loved Matt, Luke, Finn, and Jessica working together. They're banter was hilarious and when they threw down I got feelings of when I first saw the Avangers come

All right, so what is it with Netflix Marvel shows an replacing good villains with silly ones? In Luke Cage they had a great villain in Cottonmouth, I'll go so far as to say that it was one of the best Marvel villains mainly because he had a story outside of Cage in this iteration of the characters, then they go and
