Back then, there wasn't much to choose from. You can either get LttP or get some shitty SNES game that has a movie tie-in but made by Oceans Entertainment.
Also, on your John Carmack note, he does a lot of complaining about the PS3's version of RAGE. He doesn't outright say it, but by saying that the PS3 is the 'second best console system to work with' pretty much stands out on how he feels about the PS3. So I don't think your example stands over the the YEARS of…
You make a PS3 game, and you're stuck there. You have to do a lot of BS and hire another company to port it over to 360 and PC. While on the other hand, you make a 360 game, and it's easy to port to PS3 and PC internally.
Because PS3's aren't getting ports. They get titles that are catered towards their system. PC gamers get these console port bullshit that are half-assed and money grabbing. Very few companies develop directly for a PC and THEN turn it into a console. We PC-gamers are allowed to bitch.
He created the Unreal and the Unreal Tournament, to major PC games. Maybe he doesn't want to talk about the PC because he was obligated to Gears of War. But us longtime fans always knew where his heart was at.
There is.
Oh man. I feel like that kid who wants to tell you all those cool things that happened in a movie but can't because you shouted 'NO SPOILERS'.
Why jump in now? ACII and Brotherhood are AMAZING and cheap. Play those just for the sake of it! They're great games! I think you are wasting your time jumping into the ACIII as a newcomer, and having high expectations.
They're not so much hackers - more like a guy who made a program to defraud the system. I personally respect that. They took the time to notice Taco Bell made a shitty method to determine a winner, and took advantage of that.
I kind of see what he means though. I honestly had no clue what most of the things meant, and just ran with it. If a gun had a bigger number, then into the equip slot it went. Dunno what the other features were. I would go so far as to say, I could even play the whole game WITHOUT equipping anything, simply because I…
Once I saw the image, I knew exactly what a shithole Kotaku comments will turn into.
Jeez! I thought they did! Glad I read your comment!
I would go so far as to say that I have no idea what you're talking about with hackers on TF2. I think F2P is a good thing, because it recharges a dying community with fresh blood. It does change the atmosphere, but I rather have a different community than no community at all. Maybe cause I'm older and have been part…
WoW still has about 7-8 million people who are willing to pay 15 bucks a month to play it. I really think WoW would have to get to 3 million before they slowly jump aboard the F2P model.
Me too. And a few tears shed. And mother 3 never did help wipe the tears away.
I was in that boat. I had hoped DoTA2 would take the LoL throne away. Simply because it has that Valve shine to it. I just know that I won't be a very good beta tester. I bought the orange box when it first came out, but I only played TF2 when hats were introduced. DoTA2 has a long road ahead before it can get me.
I treat DoTA 2 like I treat Street Fighter. I want to get in, play some cool looking characters, commit to learning a super, and move on. By creating a barrier of locked content, my goal is no longer to just learn a super. I want to play as that locked character that I have my eye on! And that motivation gets me to…
Obviously, to annoy people like you, mister serious gamer you.
I miss that headline so much. :(
