Any publication or network that does a piece about video game violence and plays a scene from Mortal Kombat, Doom, or Postal IMMEDIATELY loses all credibility with me. It's lazy journalism, to the extreme.

@DaveyNC: All of this stuff is so over my head right now. Most of these terms don't even make sense to me. But I'm definitely going to spend a few weekends reading all those links until I figure it out.

This is the first time Hive Five picked had my favorite choice last. JayIsGames isn't as attractive for the casual gamers. But if like to game on your free time and are tired of all the copycat flash games (the masses of Tower Defenses) — check out JayIsGames.

I love JayisGames. There are a lot of little indie gems out there. Not every indie developer has their game playable via browser. My current obsession is Rogue Survivor - a rogue-like where you fight zombies.

@Turkin4tor: I don't understand why every game just doesn't have subtitles. Movie has subtitles. Make it a requirement.

@missyjean130: Your local Chinatown will have that same stuff, depending on how big the Chinatown is. I'm not up to date with anime, but there's a lot of candy/goods with anime characters on it in my Chinatown.

@Souffrir: Look at the details, the color scheme. It's definitely 8-bit.

@eatmyworld: If they were shameless, that statue would still be up. They do rip off a lot of things without consciousness, but you call them out, then they'll back down like a child.

I'm a bit confused at what you are looking for, Luke. A game where you control a real-life soldier? Or more videos of soldiers doing video game-esque things?
