A little math.

Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Morrowind, and New Vegas desperately needed mods to make them work for the PC. Bethesda developed the UI to work with consoles, with big giant text and many buttons. I would even go so far as to make the game unplayable without those mods.

@PrO-bOy: I don't think he had any skillsets outside of his silly sense of humor and how he can make a sandbox UI on top of source.

@JabbaB: The only thing this guy is missing is a sandwich board around him and the numbers 2012. In fact, he scares me a little.

In my older age, I've become a gaming wuss. I gain more entertainment value from watching people play these types of games. I wish there was an easy mode, where 2/3rds of the obstacles were removed. Sure, it would lose it's soul. But then I could even let my kids play it.

These systems are reaching that level where everybody owns them already. To constantly get close to reaching the same sales numbers year after year is remarkable for a product.
