Friends are a dangerous things to have in a crappy place. Because one part wants to leave and the other part of you wants you to stay for your friends. (Who is probably like you, fighting that same battle.)
@SpudDude: And not having to lift your tower on top of the Lazy Susan, ensuring all the wires stretch long enough for you rotate the 270 degrees, and fumbling through the back to find a free USB slot?
Wow, and I thought I never would say this but — Japan, you guys need your own Paris Hilton/Brittney Spears/Snookie.
I remember how badly I needed my Oblivion fix. I started downloading on Steam, and 8 gigs and 3 hours later, I had it in my hard-drive.
@leoblaze30: Dude, didn't you know? PC gaming died 2005. And then at 2006. And 2007. And again in 2009.
@flaagan: I like your thinly veiled fanboyism question. Keep trying.
I made the digital switch years ago. I probably made it way back in 2000, when I stopped collecting NES/SNES/Genesis cartridges. I realized I can always fire up the game via emulator. And before I knew it, 1200 cartridges went donated to the thrift shop.
@poorleno: Because they're trying to protect my online gaming experience? Because when I'm playing, I don't want some punk to have 100+ units in the first 5 minutes?
@dogmaticequation: Tim Rogers is laughing at you.
I'm glad Square Enix has the money power and fan dedication to do this. Most other companies would throw it down the fire and call it quits by the end of the year. I would love to see where this MMO goes in 2 years.
The lack of images and quality control makes this look like it was made from somebody still in college.
@Pissed Off PC Gamer: What's the point of watching movies when it's just a bunch of glorified actors performing lines in front of a camera?
Now that you made me think about the production values Fahey, my biggest problem with this is that there was too much stock video of Vegas. Show me New Vegas!
@CorporateRobot: Just a few more to build a fort.
@aeronaut: I watched the delivery guy just toss these 20lb paper bricks at doors like it was a paper boy. I'm pretty sure he didn't care who was opt'ed out or not, just that he had a truck of those things and needed to get rid of them.
Did you know? Every year, people catapult yellow books off of bridges and rooftops? Yellow books are fast becoming the item of choice, topping fruit and stray cats.
@mithritades: If they're going after Ebay, then they're probably trying to corner all markets of reselling. How sad it would be that even garage sales would be illegal.
@Yokai: 50 - 70 is too optimistic for a trade. Gamestop loves giving me single-digit figures for my games.
What about all the games I backed up? What's stopping me from saying, buy Bioshock, download and backup, and then trade for Valve money?
