Shontay you stay Caroline.
Shontay you stay Caroline.
I kind of enjoyed the stuffed animals on top of the car joke from a few seasons ago.
I don't really know Alana well. I've seen clips of the show or funny/adorable Tumblr posts that are usually body or gay positive usually. I have read stories of her acting out, like during an appearance on the Tonight Show (or something similar), but she is a child after all. Her family situation is troubling, but…
I agree with your thoughts on Sol's discomfort at Robert's revelation, but the problem is the show didn't really explain it well enough that it still felt a little strange (or at least sitcom plot cliche). Bud and Coyote as Brianna's annoying step-brothers is a much better story idea than Coyote in love with Mallory.
Did you finish the season yet? They certainly left all of the kids' storylines hanging (not really a spoiler I think, but I wouldn't dare spoil the Frankie/Grace stuff). I hope they figure out what to do with the kids and even the ex-husbands too, but I would watch the next season when it comes out.
It's currently 2 hours before the movie has premiered on HBO and the movie already has four official community reviews, 2 of which are Fs. I mean, maybe they saw it already, but Fs?
Was I the only one worried that Brianna was opening herself up to a sexual harassment lawsuit throughout that lube discussion? Then she sleeps with her underling (although good for her), but I kept thinking this was a way to get Brianna fired from her job with Grace coming back to save her company. However, later…
Wasn't he on the Showtime Gigolos show that the Soup made fun of repeatedly? I thought his Container Store story was fake.
I loved that her legs appeared to be spray painted gold.
Well exactly. There wasn't even whispering really though, just a little aside from the widow that Frankie was having a worse time than herself. Not that I think gay people should be shamed for coming out, or even coming out so late. I cringed at a few celebrities/commenters trying to make jokes the Bruce Jenner's…
So this is/was my favorite episode so far and was certainly the funniest (out of 10 so far). Fake fall or not, I laughed at the hospital antics, the unconscious banter at the ice cream shop, and the Brianna/Frankie drug antics earlier. I was disappointed at the reveal that is all a daydream, I think it would have…
At least Grace and Frankie are enjoyable to watch rather than the Transparent kids/family.
The scene where Grace realizes her future ex-sister-in-law will not be including Grace in her family's life after the divorce was brutal and kind of what I want more from the show. They broach the subject in a future episode sort of, but Robert and Sol are not really facing many consequences for their decision to…
I think Mitch is the most underrepresented character right now, which is a shame since I like George Stults as an actor. Of course, I'd rather find out more about everyone else currently.
I thought the same initially, especially after watching The Family Stone recently.
Grace's stake with her beauty company is explained later without spoiling it. When my father died, everything was in his name, so my mother was somewhat screwed for a while without credit cards. Since that was 14 years ago and we are even more dependent on them today, I can imagine it's a valid storyline for the…
I gave up on Transparent after the pilot. This show certainly improves throughout the season though, even though I came close to giving up after this episode.
Raphael's character seems to get better as the show goes on. They certainly use her better later on where here she's mostly just a shit-stirrer.
For Patricia Arquette, my guess is they got her after she blew up from Boyhood, so I kind of doubt they were after her in the previous two years of trying the sketch. I heard her make a joke that they tried to get Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow, but it wouldn't have worked out for other reasons other than scheduling,…
#2 until they showed up.
