I wonder how much of Mass Effect Andromeda flopping has to do with this. A mainly single player game experience. The main problem, if it is part of the decision, is that they fail to acknowledge what was fundamentally wrong with that game and just dismiss it with “people don’t want single player games”, “single player…
complete and utter BS. Fuck EA. Besides, don’t they already have a fucking game like the one they are describing with Anthem?
Man this breaks my heart
So awesome. Hope this hashtag ends up being more awesome than it already is and whiny babies don’t come ruin it again. Thanks to the devs for sharing this with us!
Really interesting piece Kirk! loved it!
couldn’t agree more
I do think some of their demands are just, like those related to their health or the full knowledge of what kind of project, sequel, character they are going to record for, as I do agree this gives them leverage in negotiations, and this brings better performances, I guess.
But the part of them getting royalties? Hell…
Glad it’s over, now we can go back to avoiding sad scenarios like the Life is Strange thing with Chloe voice actress.
I mean, Epic definitely are ‘cloning’ the idea, but I think they are doing so so elegantly and honestly, like citing them liking PUBG, that it seems ok? Also, this was bound to happen sooner or later before PUBG coming to Xbox One. And this will definitely hurt PUBG on consoles, and will boost Fortnite to a level it…
Sigh. Why do they even bother?
I agree with the last part. Shadow of War already has a complicated release date, and with this, I’m definitely skipping it until I have free time, if ever. It under like a lot of time is being out on BS rather than making the game better.
mustaches, all of them, should be removed, unless they are accompanied by a beard
It did come out. I don’t know if many would call it decent though, as it didn’t review specially well.
And the backer promises....sure? I mean, the box and manual fiasco just happened a week ago... when it should’ve come last year with the game?
Being a new company and wanting to do something by yourselves is incredibly hard. I think many people jumped in the Kickstarter wagon as they saw it as the Holy Grail to make their dreams happen. Some have done it masterfully, like Yacht Club, others, disastrously, even with a big name behind it, like Inafune. I don’t…
I really really want this. The SNES was my first console and I loved it, with a lot of the games included in this version. I really hope Nintendo learnt this time around and just takes all our fucking money, and do enough for everyone
#FakeNews, 9/10 should be 1st
well... I put it wrong. But I do think it is GOTY material. I don’t mean overall GOTY, but im sure it will be a strong game worthy of the GOTY-RPG price, as the first one was. Or at least that’s what I hope for, because the 1st one was amazing
hahaha Jason holds mysterious delaying powers. hahaha. Well the joke took form If I remember correctly, around No Man’s Sky release. The game already had a release date, and it was probably like weeks from being released. Jason reported that the game was being delayed for a month or to, or something like that. Some…
uuuugh Jason!!!! Why can’t you control yourself!!!?
But as you say, it’s a great move, there’s already too much to play from august to December, plus Ni No Kuni II can now maybe enter as a ‘sure game of the year’ for 2018?
I thought I would get a lot of heat for that comment, hahaha, but I do love BN. Started with 3, went back for 1 and 2 (harsh!) and continued all the way to... 6? Played Starforce too. I loved BN more though, the story, core systems, etc, was really cool for me.
